Paul Cézanne
Paul Cézanne was born on January 19, 1839, in Aix-en-Provence, France, and died on October 22, 1906, in the same city. He was a pioneering Post-Impressionist painter whose work laid the foundations for the transition from 19th-century Impressionism to 20th-century Cubism.
Cézanne is known for his landscapes, still lifes, and portraits, characterized by bold brushstrokes, geometric forms, and a deep exploration of structure in nature. Although often misunderstood during his lifetime, his innovative approach to form and color deeply influenced artists like Picasso and Matisse. Today, Cézanne is regarded as a central figure in the development of modern art.
